Avoid trail during muddy seasons.

Description

The trail starts at a parking area next to Hills Creek Reservoir and follows Larson Cove heading west along a very mellow path (watch out for poison oak here). As the trail leaves the cove it begins to climb; an ascent which gradually gets steeper until the end of the trail. The trail weaves along the creek for a while through a variety of tress including western hemlock, red cedar, vine maple, big leaf maple, and others.
The trail is beautiful in spring with abundant wildflowers, and in autumn with the change in leaf color. The lower section of the trail is also accessible through the winter months.
