Description
Be aware that Williams Creek is open to motorcycles, horses, and mountain bikers. This is the downhill leg of the Fisher Creek Loop. There is still a climb or two to break up the descent.
The last section will provide a great view of the Sawtooth Mountains just before ending at the trailhead and Pit Toilet.
At the start of this trail, you've got about 400' of climbing to get through. The climb is all singletrack, and not difficult at all. The interesting scenery will keep you occupied, although you might find yourself wondering how beautiful and cool this hike would have been in the deep forest before the fire.
Eventually you'll reach the obvious high point, then you'll round a corner and down you go! It's hard not to grin on this one - the trail surface is great with tree cover and shade - it's one of the best descents around. Enjoy the views as you make your way down!
But be careful - the trail is especially popular with mountain bikers, who generally ride the trail downhill. Stay alert to keep yourself safe and to ensure the safety of all other trail users.
Towards the bottom you'll emerge from the trees into more grassy surroundings, and you've got one more short but sharp climb before descending the rest of the way to your car.
