Description

This trail features great views of the valley from over 8000' at the Powder Mountain Ski Resort. The trail itself is rolling, but maintains gentle elevation change throughout. There are a couple of larger climbs, but everything is manageable. Set up as a loop, this trail is can be taken clockwise, counterclockwise, or one can stop at the doubletrack and double the distance to nearly 12 miles as an out-and-back.

While winding in and out of alpine meadows, into pine and aspen groves this trail has views aplenty to admire along the way. The majority of the trail is smooth clay singletrack, but builders have added rock slabs in several areas to add a mild technical element and keep things interesting.

Minimal climbing and easy technical elements make this a great loop for beginners and younger hikers, especially if you shorten the full loop to be a smaller out and back.
