The trailhead is located on Louisville Loop, very near the footbridge over the gorge. The trail starts and ends at the loop and can be taken in either direction.
The highest point is at the beginning of the trail, and it winds down around a beautiful gorge area. There are a few points where the trail crosses some limestone ledges that are fairly narrow compared to the trail. These can get a bit slick if the streams are running over them.
Overall, this is a very good trail and, like the whole Parklands system, is very convenient to Louisville.
