“This is a short trail along the Rio Bonito to a stone covered with ancient petroglyphs.”— Papa Murph
Family Friendly A flat trail along a small stream makes for a kid-friendly hike with opportunities to get wet.
The hardest part of this trail is getting to the trailhead. The unpaved road leading from NM-220 to the trailhead is rocky and very steep. Four-wheel-drive is recommended.
The trail can be hot in the summer as shade is minimal.
