Family Friendly Wide trail for the most part. Lightly traveled by others.

Description

This is an unmaintained fire road with several great sustained climbs and descents along the way. The trail surface is very smooth. It's possible to hike in either direction, but I find hiking from Pine Knob to Oakland (as mapped) most enjoyable.

There are several small dead-end jetties that branch off of the main trail. This trail also leads you past two private property lots. You may encounter some downed trees, wet spots, and the occasional mountain biker as you hike.
