This is not a marked trail as it's in a declared wilderness area and not many people go there on a regular basis. Some parts are a bit rugged and steep. There is water along the trail, and it is plentiful. It's mostly open grasslands with fynbos mixed in between. From the Wolkberg Hut, the trail climbs steadily to the start of the Serala Trail.
