Join the Buena Vista Trail at its trailhead off of Park Lane. Follow the trail up Buena Vista Canyon as it steeply climbs the canyon wall for the first half of the trail, including a series of steep switchbacks. At the top of these switchbacks, the trail flattens out momentarily before continuing its climb up the canyon at a gradual grade. The trail will then run into the Buena Vista Catway, at which point the Buena Vista Trail ends. You can either return to Park Lane along the same route or link up with other trails in the area to extend your hike.
