This is a good section of trail that goes up by the radio tower. It can get overgrown and brushy in the spring, and there's a bailout option at Mud Bog Alley, which is the original staging area for Blue Ridge. The trail has some rolling ups and downs, and hikers have the option to connect with several other trails in the area for a longer hike.
