While a bit rolling and rocky, the section is manageable by all but the youngest hikers, while ending only about 7/10th of a mile from the trailhead and parking area.
This section is open to two-way traffic and mountain bikers, and crosses a forest trail in the opening in the forest.
Description
Section 22 - 23 is an undulating trail through mixed forest. There are a few short, gradual climbs with one somewhat rocky downhill through an opening that appears to have once been the site of a now abandoned farmstead and forest road crossing.
