Description

To get there: Take Main to Saxon Mountain Road, and follow this to the last house and enter what appears to be a driveway. This is the start of the trailhead.

The trail: This is an easy, scenic trail with constant views. The route provides a view of Alvarado Cemetery graveyard and the remains of the Silver Creek Town site. It is all singletrack and see very light use so you may have the trail all to yourself.

At 8:40a needed YakTrax. Had them in backpack. Took out when hiker leaving trail told me I didn't need them. Got snobby when I said I wasn't from here

Loved this trail. It has remnants of a old road and sweeping views. You can finish off with an easy walk around the lake. 4.5mi
