Description

If you are in the mood for some serious technical climbing or descending, this is the place to do it! There are several large steps with some sharp turns that will challenge you throughout your hike. Keep an eye out for one especially steep switchback located directly after a ledge. The trail after the switchback is littered with large, round stones and loose soil, making it easy to potentially roll an ankle. Towards the bottom of the hill, the boulders are even larger, so managing you footing on the downhill will be especially important.

This is a great connector for looping out of National Trail and connecting to either the Holbert Trail or the Mormon Trail.

A view from the top. Intersection with the National and Kiwanis trail - and Summit Rd. A nice bench and some smooth boulders to take a rest.
