Family Friendly While kids can easily handle this trail's grades and distance, they might enjoy the other trails in the park more.

Description

The trailhead is on the north side of Medicine Rocks Park Road between the Dalton Trail and Sunset Loop Trail. Take the trail north along a smooth tread through open grasslands. One can see the Great Plains rolling to the northwest for many, many miles. Continue north to the park boundary and return on the same trail.

Flora & Fauna

Mule deer, white-tailed deer, antelope, wild turkey, sharp-tail grouse, wildflowers, and other birds are prevalent in the state park.
