Description

This trail is one of the many options in Mahlon Dickerson Reservation. HikerS can combine this route with other trails in the park.

This trail features the highest point in Morris County at 1,395 feet and skirts sections of a picturesque pine swamp. In the summer, this section can be quite buggy so be sure to bring repellent.

This trail is also excellent in the winter as it is well-marked and without significant elevation changes.

Flora & Fauna

Typical northern New Jersey woodlands with sections through low lying wetlands. Deer can be spotted along with the occasional bear.
