Starting from the Long Road Track, hikers will head out along a ridge before a steep descent to a small clearing. From this clearing, you'll hike along the Wainamu Stream briefly, following it downstream, until the track branches southwest for a final steep climb back to the ridge that leads to the track's end at Wainamu Junction.
