Description

This singletrack trail cuts through the canyon and attending preserve which encompasses a six mile strip of land bordered by suburban development. The preserve protects the ecosystem within, which is dominated by the year-round flow of Peñasquitos Creek. This surprisingly robust creek supports a dense strip of riparian wilderness unrivaled anywhere else in San Diego County, and hikers will enjoy this pleasant setting in a hike along the creek.
