Description

The trailhead for Ryans Creek Track is lcoated at the end of Main Road. Start up Kapipi Point Road and watch for the trail to start on your left. This track follows along old logging roads and is a rolling trail that winds through coastal forests. Like most of Stewart Island, the track can be muddy in places, especially after recent rain. Along the southern coastal section, hikers will be treated to some scenic view of Paterson Inlet and the small islands and coves of Vaila Voe Bay. The trail then loops back to the north and east, coming to an end at Thule Road.
