Description

The Lower Trail (White blaze) is the eastern route within Norvin Green State Forest and it parallels the Wanaque Reservoir. This is a great, family-oriented trail that is not as difficult as other routes, such as the Carris Hill trail, but it comes at the expense of the lack of any vista points.

Most hikers combine this trail with others to make a more lengthy and enjoyable route.

Flora & Fauna

Typical Northern NJ Woodlands and an occasional deer.
