Family Friendly This route may be pushing it in terms of length for some, but the secluded route and scenery make this one great for a family hike.

Description

Otter Hole trail (Green Blaze) is one of many trail options in Norvin Green State forest. It connects two of the main parking lots - Otter Hole and the Weiss Ecological Center.

While other trails in the park are more well-known for their vistas or waterfalls, this trail does offer solitude and interesting trail views of rock formations, especially on the northern end where it descends towards the Weiss parking area.

The grade can be a little steep in sections, but perfect for a family hike or bringing a dog.

Flora & Fauna
