Description

The loop begins and ends at the parking area at Banning State Park. You'll see the towering rock walls where the stone was quarried from, along with other rock formations. The side of the trail that runs closer to the river has the remains of old structures used by the quarry, which can be a fun way to imagine what the area would have looked like as an active quarry.

As a testament to its history, large slabs of rock are piled next to the Quarry Loop Trail.

Fun trail, pretty easy, almost no climbing. Neat to see the old remnants of the sandstone quarry.
