The trail begins near a small creek and follows it for a short time. The trail then becomes a boardwalk through a wetland. I can only speak of seeing cattails, but expect to see many other types of vegetation come spring. The boardwalk eventually ends and leaves you on the Red Oak Trail.
Flora & Fauna
Summer prairie and fen wildflowers can be seen here, including queen-of-the-prairie and shrubby cinquefoil. Alkaline fen, marsh, and marsh wildlife have been spotted.
