Family Friendly This trail is wide and very well-marked, and maintained with no overly steep grades.

This is inside Perrot State Park so you'll need a Wisconsin State Parks day or annual pass to access it.

Description

The trail has a number of ascents and descents and meanders through a number of bluff ravines and open goat prairies. It connects with the Perrot Ridge Trail, and the other cross-country ski/hiking trails, allowing visitors a number of interesting and varied routes.

This trail functions as a groomed cross-country skiing trail in the winter and as a foot trail in the warmer months. During winter months, the trail is fenced off at points where it intersects with dedicated hiking trails but park rangers mark alternate routes that allow hikers to circumvent the skiing trails.
