Description

This is a connector trail that allows for a shorter loop from the lower Sprig entrance. It connects Merry-Go-Round Trail at the 1.7 mile mark, to Ridge Trail at the 0.9 mile mark. Overall, nice and winding through the redwoods and oaks. Great views on the open, brushy hillside stretches.

Nearby, are the forested ridges of the Santa Cruz Mountains. In the far distance (left) the ridgeline of the Diablo Range, on the other side of Santa Clara Valley, can be faintly seen. Winter is a beautiful time in these hills.
