From the Bar-O Trail #2, you'll cross West Verde Creek right away. Unless it's raining, you'll be lucky to find much more than a trickle of water in the creek.

From there, the singletrack twists gently through the cedar scrub in the creek bottom with minimal elevation change, ending at the intersection with the Hermits Trail #3. Unless the sun is directly overhead, you might have a little bit of shade on this trail.
