Description

The trail begins at its junction with the Lower Rhyolite Trail and the Sarah Deming Trail. The trail immediately begins to ascend, climbing nearly the entire 1.1 miles to a junction with the Hailstone Trail and the Echo Canyon Trail. From the first, the views across the canyon to spires and rock formations are fantastic. There are also spires next to the trail.

After a bit, the trail enters a sparse forest, following a stream bed, then crosses the valley. The trail then switchbacks up to the Hailstone Trail / Echo Canyon Trail Junction, with views up and down Rhyolite Canyon of spires.
