Description

The trailhead is situated just beyond the railroad tracks in Jonathan Dickinson State Park. The trail starts on the north side of the road and takes you through some low-lying brush. Shade on the trail is almost non-existent, so I would advise bringing sunscreen or a hat.

Almost the entire trail is made up of loose sand so be prepared to tread lightly or take frequent shoe-dumping breaks. At the northernmost point of the trail, it briefly merges with the Ocean to Lake Trail that spans from Hobe Sound Beach to Lake Okeechobee. From there, the White Trail continues to vier south west.

Be careful and watch for the re-emergence of the trail markings after existing the OTL trail as you might find yourself on a dirt access road if you are not paying attention. The rest of the trail brings your through more brush and decent size palm and pine trees. Again, these trees provide little overhead coverage.

The trail finishes with a brief stroll alongside the train tracks on a very sandy access road. Overall, it's a nice trail, but very dusty and hot.
