Description

This trail starts at the trailhead off Pinto Road. This trailhead is located fairly soon after you pass the large Forest Service sign. On the trail, you head up nice singletrack and over a pass just south of Stoddard Mountain. Head down this trail until you get close to Upper Grant's Ranch.

At this point you can return the way you came or if you don't mind hiking on some dirt roads you can make a loop by connecting Grant's Ranch Road to Pinto Road to get back to the trailhead where you started. The total loop distance is about 13.75 miles and is probably faster than returning the way you came since the road is a lot faster to hike.
