This trail wanders through Lake Fairfax Park. There are many offshoots and other loops to do inside the park but this is the most direct way between the W&OD Trail and the Cross County Trail. The going is mostly smooth, and there won't be too many obstacles for hikers to overcome, making this a relaxed and pleasant outing. The trail moves mostly through forested terrain, making this a nicely shaded spot for a summer hike.
