“A regional trail connecting communities and trails.”— John Rabold
Family Friendly Much of this trail is flat and paved, providing an easier experience for families with small children.
This trail is managed by the East Bay Regional Park District but crosses land owned by other jurisdictions. Its design varies from paved path to community sidewalk to dirt road to singletrack dirt trail. In addition to Briones Regional Park and Mt. Diablo State Park, it connects Acalanes Ridge Open Space, Shell Ridge Open Space, Walden Park, San Miguel Park, Heather Farm Park, and Larkey Park (including Lindsay Wildlife Experience) of the City of Walnut Creek; Diablo Foothills Regional Park; and the Contra Costa Canal Regional Trail and the Iron Horse Regional Trail.
See their website for complete information.
The paved portions of this trail are wheelchair-accessible.
