Description

This rocky, rooty trail that stays on the Simsbury side of the mountain between Lake Louise and Wintonbury Road. Yellow Trail to the south will lead you to the main parking lot on Route 185, with trails continuing on to the West Hartford Reservoir. The trail to the north past Wintonbury Road follows the edge of Wilcox Park (Bloomfield) and eventually takes you to the Bartlett Tower in Tariffville. Cross the Farmington River in Tariffville and look for trailhead on the right which leads into Cowles Park in East Granby. Easy access to downtown Simsbury restaurants via Wintonbury Road/Terrys Plain/Riverside/Drake Hill.
