Description

This trail starts at the large, busy parking lot near the summit of Mount Tamalpais. The first part is a boardwalk that soon turns into steps. Near the top, the steps end, and there are some rocky switchbacks to navigate to reach the fire lookout on the summit. There are excellent views in every direction.

Flora & Fauna

Chaparral with oaks, madrone, manzanita, and chamise.

Drove up in the morning and was greeted with stunning views. Hiked to the peak and a bit of the near by trails. By the time I left most of the fog ... 2mi
