“A short and punchy trail rising through a lush fern valley.”
— Eric Ashley
Up Quick is quite beautiful and, if taken slowly, will be quite manageable for kids as long as they aren't already tuckered out.
Up Quick is a short trail that doesn't waste much time getting from A to B. The bottom of the trail quickly traverses away from the intersection with the West Loop
and Darvil Trail and by the time it passes the upper end of Taylor's Trail
, it's in full climbing mode. From there, the trail surges straight up a narrow fern-filled ravine. At the top, a series of equally steep switchbacks carry the trail to finish at the Julieann Trail
just a little ways away from the mid-mountain parking area.
