Description

This short extension is a 0.4 mile trail that runs along the Lower Kenta Canal and overlooks the Pipeline Canal. Sadly(?), the view of downtown New Orleans can be seen from the footbridge over the Pipeline/Upper Kenta Canals, so you won't have a wilderness feel.

Flora & Fauna

Alligators, wading birds, and turtles.

Captured a Nutria Rat while it was bathing. Couldn't get a great shot due to people stopping and looking but it still came out ok.
