This route changes between single and doubletrack as it gradually ascends toward the base of Spitzstein. The trail begins off the road from Erlerberg and ends near the Altkaser Alm and Spitzsteinhaus. This trail technically falls on the Austrian side of the border, though it ends almost on top of the border itself with access to trails on the German side.
