Description

This is a moderate trail that follows along Caney Creek. Hikers in the area can connect this one to the Buckeye Trail to make a nice loop. No matter which end you start from, there are several creek crossings. The trail is hard to follow at times due to the amount of leaves on the ground and creek crossings. There are lots of big trees, which means you'll be well shaded most of the time. There are also plenty of opportunities for refilling water and camping if you want to extend your visit.

Great hike! Lots of water crossings, so be aware if there's been rain or a chance of flash flooding. Trails pretty well maintained.

Started at east side of Caney Creek, heading toward Katy Falls. Several campsites along the way, all with easy access to flowing water.
