Family Friendly While the tread can be slippery at times, kids can make it through and will absolutely love the waterfalls and canyon walls along this trail.

Description

Step into Tonty Canyon and prepare to be immersed in an experience that you won't soon forget.

While the canyon is short, it makes up for it by providing stunning views of falling water draping over verdant walls of moss-covered sandstone. If you are at all a photographer, give yourself plenty of time to take photos in this canyon, as you'll not want to leave once you arrive. If you come after heavy rains, double cascades are likely to be your subject matter.

While hiking through the canyon, watch your footing, as the sandstone on which the trail travels can often be slippery from the spray.

Flora & Fauna

Multiple varieties of deciduous tree coupled with abundant moss creates a vibrant green backdrop to this charming canyon.
