There is a visitor center with a lovely native plant garden outside and an education center inside.

Description [Suggest Changes]

Ruffner Mountain Preserve is a hidden gem. The main trails are wide, but they can offer a nice challenge due to the elevation in the park. The Overlook trail has great shot of the surrounding area. The ridge route is a singletrack with lots of ups and downs changes in elevation. Great place to experience the Fall changing of the leaves.

Looks like this Feature Hike could use some love! If you know it, add an overview, summary, and more details to the description.

One of the longer trails at Ruffner. A beautiful hike with multiple climbs and descents. During the spring and early summer the valleys are full of gorgeous Oakleaf Hydrangeas! It's worth planning a hike during that window. Nov 27, 2017
