Description

From the biathlon stadium at the Fort Kent Outdoor Center, this route takes off directly along a section of wooded XC ski trails, descending the side of Stevens Hill. It then turns sharp left and ascends to to the top of Lonesome Pine Trails Ski Resort. It drops quickly to the base of the mountain then ascends steeply up alpine trails.

The route then returns to twisting and rolling XC ski and snowshoe trails, before heading out toward the swampy Violette Settlement section. It passes through standing water and wet evergreen stands, then returns back the the Outdoor Center, before ascend to the top of Lonesome Pine via different route. It soon turns downhill to the Center, but skirts the venue and heads onto twisting and steep mountain bike trails.

Finally, it turns onto overgrown XC trail, a short section of woods road and then back to the stadium.
