“The Main Loop, or Colonel Francis Beatty Park Loop, is a moderate loop trail that features a lake.”— Kristen Arendt
Family Friendly This route is easy to navigate, and close to home, making it a great option for the whole family.
The trail is a very popular mountain biking trail so those on foot will find themselves stepping to the side to allow bikers to pass. It is a fairly easy trail to navigate with little elevation gain. There are even some nice hammock-ing spots along the way.
In some places, there are other trails connected to the main trail, which are favored by mountain bikers. A great starting point for any outing is located near Lake Pointe Hall beside the picnic area - pack a lunch or dinner, take a hike, and then come back and enjoy the sun setting over the lake from a cozy picnic spot.
