Family Friendly The Equestrian Trail's smooth tread and gentle grades make it a great option for families with children.

A Discover Pass is required to park at the Equestrian Trailhead.

Description

The Equestrian Trail is a popular multi-use trail open to pedestrians, cyclists, and equestrians.

The trail follows an old road as it climbs from the Equestrian Trailhead to its terminus at "The Saddle" Viewpoint, where it intersects Upper Hardy Creek Trail and Hamilton Mountain Trail. Along the way, it also intersects the Hardy Ridge Trail, Loop Trail, and the Hardy Creek Trail.

Since you'll be traveling on a repurposed road bed, the climbing to the viewpoint will be steady but manageable for the trail's duration. Make sure to take plenty of breaks to admire the scenery around you!
