Description

The Blue Trail offers visitors fantastic views of historic Harpers Ferry and the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers.

Starting at the junction with the Appalachian Trail, the blue-blazed trail dives through dense hardwood forests to a junction with the Orange Trail. From the junction, the trail continues straight, descending gently along a ridgeline to its end at the Split Rock Overlook.

First real overlook on the trail. It's on a power line but the view is still nice.
