This trail cuts the inside of the Chapel Basin area. It follows the western edge of Chapel Lake. This trail can be used as part of a loop to view the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The trail is fairly easy with some elevation change and a few switchbacks. Much of the bedrock is sandstone and some sections of trail showed signs of heavy erosion.
