Description

This alternative to Old Baldy Trail #372 is gentler, longer, and smoother. It is less wooded down low and is generally hotter. Up high, you get incredible views as you "circumnavigate" all of Mt Wrightson! You can make excellent loop hikes with all or part of this trail.

This route is a less used but still easy to follow trail on the "backside" of Mt. Wrightson. It may be overgrown closer to the top at certain times of the year, but even then it is a more enjoyable way to go up or down to the summit. The lower elevations of this section of trail features more pine tree like terrain, and provides the best hiking on the mountain.
