Coyote Ridge Trail is a great multi-use trail with a steady, mellow climb.

Features Views · Wildlife

Family Friendly This is an easy trail with an educational nature trail about one mile into the journey.

There are coyotes in the area and a lot of Prairie Rattlesnakes in the summer.

Description

This is a popular trail with plenty of other trail users including mountain bikers. The hiking is good, but expect to deal with full exposure and some traffic as you climb to the ridge above.

The Coyote Ridge Nature Trail makes a pleasant detour about a mile into the route. Coyote Ridge and the following Rimrock Trail can be nicely paired for a tidy hike.

Flora & Fauna

High desert prairie grasses and shrubs.
