This is a closed road to all but foot traffic.

Description

From the Te Aroha Golf Course, pass the locked gate and join the unsealed (gravel) Tui Road. The track ascends relentlessly passed the Tui mine and Tui Mine Track passing the Tui Saddle before meandering steeply up to the summit.

In the later stages of the climb, you'll pass intersections with Dog Kennel Track and others that lead eastward further into the park. Stay on the closed gravel road until reaching the radio mast and true summit of the mountain.
