Family Friendly This shorter route can be managed by the whole family, and the proximity to Idyllwild Campgrounds makes this a great summertime trail.

Description

This trail starts just inside the entrance to Humber Park, on Fern Valley Road. It quickly drops off of the southern side of the road, moving through a field of small boulders before steadily descending along the western side of Lily Rock. The first half mile offers some great views of Suicide Rock, and the entire trail is amply shaded by a diverse forest that is dominated by canyon live oak and manzanita. In total, the trail descends about 600 feet, passing some impressive boulders before ending at Tahquitz View Drive.
