Family Friendly
A short, easy trail with easy access that the kids can spend as much or as little time exploring as they would like.
Description
Tlingit Trail starts at the docks and goes through the trees, following the Bartlett Cove shoreline. It passes Glacier Bay Lodge and other village buildings. The views and sightings across Bartlett Cove are the high points of this trail.
Although it is a short trail, to get the full appreciation, take a few hours to just stop along the shoreline, and watch and wait to see minke whales, killer whales, humpback whales spouting, seaplanes, Bald Eagles, and other birds. On a clear day, the views of the Fairweathers are magnificient.
