Description

The Butler-Freeport Community Trail covers the route of Butler County's first railroad(1873). The trail is level with crushed limestone surface, which makes it a popular destination for the various visitors that use the trail.

The trail is a multi-use path, so be on the lookout for cyclists as well as fellow hikers. If you're visiting the trail in the spring, be sure to slow down to appreciate the various types of wildflowers that dot the landscape, or stop to listen to birds in the trees.
