Description

From the gravel parking lot, you'll head west up a singletrack that side hills the Gibson Jack Creek. The first mile will be a lot of june grass, sage, buckbrush with an occasional pine here or there. As you continue you'll find the trail becomes more technical and the scenery more rewarding, as the sage will turn into aspen groves and thicker pine stands. The trail can be technical in spots, with mostly rocky obstacles and steep grades. As you reach the gate you can either head back the way you came or go through it and come back down West Fork to Slate Mountain Trail.
