Nice intermediate challenge. Begins on a smooth doubletrack and ends in a steep singletrack up to the summit with view.

Overview

Features: River/Creek — Views — Wildlife

Description

This trail begins on a gently ascending double wide old dirt road. It crosses a few creeks and begins to ascend at a significantly steeper angle at about halfway around some switchbacks. The trail thins out as you near the top and traces a ridge to cross from the South Summit to the main summit. The trail becomes rocky as you near the main summit.

Flora & Fauna

Evidence of moose in the area.

Muddy, Snowy, Fallen Trees - Micro spikes definitely needed for a real run. I didn't bring them and ended up speed hiking for much of the second half.
